I’m super excited to introduce you all to this beautiful new book “Gathered”, by my friend Mary Norden and photographer Polly Wreford. It’s a beautiful study of flowers, most of which have been grown in Mary’s own East London garden. It’s great for anyone with an interest in gardening of course, but it’s also a book to just lose yourself in, whether you’re green thumbed or not! From the breathtaking colour combos of the flowers to the artistic arrangements, you’ll be drawn in instantly. I found it incredibly inspiring.
What I love more than anything is the informality, the whimsical playfulness of the arrangements and the way they have been put together. You appreciate every single bloom but also together the chorus they create is intoxicating. It’s the magic that Gem and our florist team are always trying to capture with our own bouquets, and that they teach in our flower workshops. Mary gives you page after page of simple yet stunning arrangements that will inspire anyone. Not forgetting of course the beautiful styling and art direction which looks so effortless but definitely isn’t. Perfect that it’s launched just in time for the holidays, as I’m buying a heap of them for the family!
