It’s always really exciting to see someone experimenting with decorating and discovering their own style. Karen has been busy revamping her home in Leeds, from stripping the dining room to a full bedroom makeover. Along the way she’s set herself the the design resolution of being more adventurous for 2016. Hear hear!

Personally I think she’s off to a great start – cool vignettes, inky blues walls, and the moody meets mid-century vibe are all doing it for me. Karen give us a tour of her new look home below, as well as sharing her proudest DIY moment and the magic of house plants. Thanks so much Karen! Keep up with her ongoing design transformation at{making spaces}.

Welcome to my pad. It’s a modest 1960’s three bed semi in Leeds. I live with my fiancée, Pete, our three year old son Charlie and our cat, Chooch. We’ve been here for 3 years.

My style in 5 words… Eclectic, minimal, deconstructed, mid-century mix??

I’m finding it harder and harder to answer this question! I’m drawn to so many styles right now, and my taste seems to be continually evolving.
