Today I’d like to show you all a super cool, clever and stylish flat. It’s not the largest, but small cosy spaces are heavenly I say. No more so than Helen’s pad, which she’s converting to the dark side to make it truly inky and tantalising! Her place is full to the brim with intriguing pieces, oodles of books and interesting objects – I especially love the library nook which is such a clever use of space.

Helen has loads of tricks we can all apply to smaller abodes. Rather than minimally decorating, she decorates every space as if it were grand and huge. Think chandeliers in the bedroom, libraries in the living room… that way once you walk in you don’t think “small” you just think WOW. The overall feeling I get from this space is that it’s lived in, feels loved, cared for and full of life, and you don’t get much better than that. Thanks so much Helen for sharing your space! Check out more on Helen’s at{mine} profile.

Welcome to my pad. It’s a Victorian flat in Walthamstow, which I share with my husband, our young son and Margot the cat. We moved in just under 3 years ago and it’s a work in progress! Luckily we discovered perfect floorboards under the carpets and every room was white when we moved in, so we had a totally blank canvas to work with.

My style in 5 words… eclectic, experimental, textured, tactile, asymmetric.
