Home offices have to be cool and stylish in my book. Too often people plump straight for practical, and forget to create a space that’s uplifting and inspiring. How can you be productive in a bland, enegry-zapping space? Answer, you can’t (or at least I can’t!) simple as that. So to get away from just filling cabinets, ugly office chairs and printers, here’s 3 things you’d more commonly see in living rooms or bedrooms that I say you have to nab for your office space…

CREATE A BREAK OUT ZONE

Everyone needs a little break out zone, so you’re not at your desk all day long. Pop your feet up for a coffee break, or sink back into a comfier armchair for reading or making phone calls. A couple of armchairs, and conversational areas are what you need. Try not to push everything flush against the walls too or it’ll look to much like a doctor’s waiting room. If I were PM the chairs around the edge of the room scenario would be a criminal offence!
