After the fantastic launch of the new store in Heal’s last week (thank you so much to everyone who came) I have been dreaming of new spaces and expanding the business.
I began thinking about unconventional spaces such as old warehouses, factories, stations when my mind drifted to the idea of loft conversions. Trying to decorate a big space can be a daunting prospect but these guys have nailed it from onefinestay.
The Vestry Loft has been inspired by its industrial foundations with dark wooden furnishings, moody copper light fixtures and exposed brick walls. I love the open-plan kitchen and dining area made up of rich reclaimed wooden floorboards. The spiral staircase emphasises the height of the building and gives an elegant feel to the space.
Maybe I could visit this space when I’m next in New York – oh, to dream!
