I have real kitchen envy issues sometimes, I don’t know about you guys. I am actually pretty happy with mine (which you can see here), but there are so many cool options out there that sometimes you just wish you had ten extra kitchens! No? Just me?
My definite favourite jaw-on-the-floor kitchen this year was Jean-Louis Deniot’s which I got to shoot for COLOUR. The hammered gold cabinets are beyond incredible, and I must have mentioned them about 100 times already on the blog! Sorry, can’t resist. But there’s plenty of other kitchens to get you inspired out there – think luxe islands, glittering jet-black tiles, and rustic inspired dens that feel like a cabin retreat. These pics are my favourite 15 kitchens from 2015.
You might also spot my outdoor kitchen on there (am I allowed to make my own a favourite? Oh well just did). I always love cooking outdoors, but have been particularly into it this year. After a BIG garden revamp it’s been looking so cool all year round that I can’t resist getting out there for lunch whatever the weather. I was even out roadtesting pecan pie recipes in the Big Green Egg this weekend! I’m pretty obsessed with the indoor/outdoor living of warmer climes, so had to include my own little outdoor nook in the round-up.
The other big trend for kitchens this year has definitely been embracing colour big-time. Not a single beige or magnolia kitchen to be seen in this line-up, it’s all noirs, inky hues, luscious metallics, greenery and even peacock blues. Talking new colour palettes for the kitchen, that was one of the most popular kitchen posts this year. Hear hear, I say! Here are your top 5 kitchen-related blog posts for 2015:
