Big changes are afoot at AA. This is the month we move stores, overhaul the website, introduce a zillion new products, open a Design Lab in our new store, and (I can’t quite believe this) I have an interview in Vogue. Exciting, insane, not enough sleep, plenty of adrenaline, terrifying and wonderful all in equal measure. Well I’m excited to let you guys know the first stage is underway! Our website has completely changed today, and I am obsessed – OBSESSED – with the vibe. We’ve been busy making it much more editorial, so you can find my top picks, colour inspiration from instagram, videos, “meet the maker” features to hand the spotlight over to some of the amazing suppliers and artisans we work with (such as PF Candle Co). We’ll be building on this and adding much more in the future too, so please have a good explore.fresh vegetables

On top of that of course we’ve added oodles and oodles of new product. This is by far our biggest, and coolest collection yet – there’s over 100 new pieces, including a lot of pieces that are exclusive to us. We’ve embraced summer with hanging rattan chairs, butterfly safari chairs, hanging succulents and bamboo day beds. We’ve got moody photographic art from talented studios like Love Warriors and Via Martine plus gorgeous prints that you won’t find anywhere else. We’ve worked with our old friends Maroc Tribal to curate one of the coolest capsule collection of vintage Moroccan rugs and runners that are again exclusive to AA. We’ve sourced the most intoxicating home fragrances, candles and incense from super talented suppliers around the globe. We’ve introduced tableware for the first time, so your dining room can get the full AA treatment with incredible chic platters in marble, teak and brass. We’ve added the books and magazines that you all asked for, plus way way more. Phew. Oh, and our bestsellers Wild Bill and Fortuna Lamp have both got little sister products now too!

I really hope you guys love, and thank you so very much for bearing with us this week. Sorry for the lack of blog posts – I’ve been missing it too! My instagram posts have definitely been getting longer, seems if I’m not writing blog posts I’ve still got to vent somewhere. Updating the website has been seriously involved with a lot of behind the scenes stuff going on, plus designing the new store and new collections and signing off Christmas, expanding into some major new stockists including Selfridges at Oxford Street (you can now find us on the ground floor next to Jo Malone) and Manchester, and Terrain in the US, and co-ordinating everything else has been a little manic to say the least. Leading up to the store opening you will see a few less blog posts, but with the website now completed a lot of the pressure comes off (website wise) at least – and we’re now all hurling ourselves onto the next major project – the move. All will be unveiled soon.Vogue July16 cover

In the meantime if you want to keep up with me, I’ll be updating regularly on social… and please pick up a copy of July Vogue! It hits news stand today, and I’m talking all about instagram and what it’s done for my business. This is certainly one of my all-time “pinch me” moments – I never imagined my little store in Upper Street would lead to my own Vogue moment.

I’ll be back to our regular blog posting shortly, and we have a lot of great things planned for you. In the pipeline are makeover posts, fab styling collaborations, more house crush tours, and obviously I won’t be able to resist spilling the beans all about the day Vogue visited (and what they had to say about Mungo and Maud!). In the meantime I just wanted to say thank you so much for following, commenting and being part of this incredible community. I don’t think we’ve ever had such a busy month or so many offers and opportunities coming through the door. Exciting times indeed.
