1. LISTS

I always find it helps if you make lists. Start with 5 things that work then 5 things that don’t. Lets say lighting is your biggest seller, add more lighting lines, introduce content ideas based around lighting, and constantly talk about lighting. Lets now say that vases are your worst category, is that because they’re not cool or you’ve got no flowers to plop into them to bring them to life, or the price is too high. Drill drill drill.

2. CHANGE IT UP

Change things up. Fire someone that isn’t working, have a clearance sale, move your entire store around, change your website. Taking action works – sitting on your butt doing sweet nothing fails!

3. COMMUNICATE

Mail blast out, personally invite people into your store, thank them – get the word out.

4. LOOKS MATTER

How your store looks and how your website looks is more important than anything. Is it inviting, does it tell a story? Are you playing to your customer’s sensory perception?

5. BE SOCIAL

Make sure you use social media. Social media marketing is all about connecting with people. Consider paid ads (they work) and target your audience.

6. TAKE ACTION

The best thing you can possibly do is to take action. Sitting idly by and waiting does nothing – it is all about getting off your ass and constantly pushing!
